It is called, Thousand Island Park and is located on Wellesley Island. It was settled in 1875 and still retains the charm of the Victorian era. I just loved it, everyone was very friendly and either walks or rides their bikes to get around. There was such a wonderful feeling of community that I didn't want to leave...
Needless to say the first thing I did when we got home was to check out rentals for a cottage next summer.
Hope you enjoy...
I came across your blog at Ralphs Ramplings. I enjoyed your blog. It is so much fun to explore new places. Are those your paintings on your sidebar?
ReplyDeleteThank you for your visit. I was so flattered by your comment of being an English Teacher. Thank you. That is quite a compliment. To answer your question. No, I am not. I have taught first grade and Pre-Kindergarten. Now, I am just subbing for grades K-5.
ReplyDeleteTake care.
Karen,
ReplyDeleteYou have a great photographic eye for capturing the character of the places you visit! Wish I had your talent!!!
